Common questions
- Do you take insurance?
- I am out of network. I can provide a monthly superbill you may submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement.
- How does the sliding scale work?
- Individual sessions run from $70 to $90 and couples sessions from $90 to $125, based on financial need. We agree on your rate before the first session and revisit it if your situation changes.
- What does AMFT mean?
- AMFT is the abbreviation for Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. A Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist has completed a master's degree, is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and is accruing supervised hours toward licensure. I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #158121. Supervised by Stephen Polin, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #7861.
- How long do people stay in therapy?
- It varies. Some come for a focused stretch of eight to twelve weeks; others stay longer. We review progress regularly rather than assuming.
